Position Overview

Provide service and support by coordinating the approval and shipment of donated tissues and acting as an information contact for both the CryoLife field staff and the Recovery Partners.

 

The work schedule is 6:00pm - 6:00am Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday.

Responsibilities

  • Field calls for potential donors and arrange for shipment of inbound tissue.

 

  • Answer questions regarding recovery, packaging and donor acceptance criteria.

 

  • Assist couriers, customers and staff with notification of late tissue arrivals, delivery arrangements or misplaced tissues.

 

  • Serve as a switchboard operator for all incoming corporate calls before and after corporate hours.

 

  • Arrange shipment of supplies to Recovery Partners, including placing the daily cooler kit and sterile kit orders.

 

  • Perform clerical duties on a daily basis, including the initial assembly of donor charts.

 

  • Assist with projects and reports as assigned by management.

 

  • Review donor charts for specific information noted in the DRAI/Medical Records, Serology information and Pathology information and for the technician names associated with procurement.

Qualifications

  • EMT or EMS Certificate, LPN, B.S. in a related biological field or equivalent experience preferred

 

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology

 

  • Excellent customer services skills and professional phone manner

 

  • Written communication skills

 

  • Ability to work independently

 

  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds

 

  • Ability to manage detailed tasks

 

  • Computer skills utilizing Word and Excel programs
