    Position Overview

    Coordinate the international finance/accounting functions in Europe and Latin America with possible future expansion into Asia Pacific.  Focus on financial internal and external reporting including overseeing the monthly closing process, monitoring budget to actual results, overseeing the budgeting process, maintaining internal control (SOX) compliance, maintaining tax compliance, evaluating FX exposure, and supervising the completion of a variety of projects as needed.



    International Integration Related Responsibilities:

    • Manage implementation of internal control structure in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley in Europe and Brazil.
    • Manage the setup of centralized banking structure in Europe.  Ensure robust cash tracking is setup among subsidiary and corporate locations.
    • Support systems upgrade efforts in Germany from Microsoft NAV 2009 to Microsoft NAV 2017 (NAV).  Partner with IT and operations to optimize recent NAV 2017 implementations in European subsidiaries.  Support conversion of legacy ERP system in Brazil.
    • Assist with the establishment of an office in France to support customer service and shipping operations. 


    Ongoing Responsibilities:

    • Build, lead, and inspire a team of engaged finance and accounting professionals focused on meeting the needs of the customer and the organization; effectively lead teams to execute on the identified corporate and departmental goals and objectives.
    • Manage, direct and oversee the EMEA finance and accounting staff including subsidiaries and Brazilian subsidiary.   
    • Manage the international monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting on a timely basis.
    • Manage the annual international budget creation as well as the monthly/quarterly actual to budget variance analysis.
    • Maintain international SOX documentation/compliance.
    • Coordinate statutory reporting for any subsidiary requiring statutory reports.
    • Provide thought leadership on a range of international technical accounting and finance-related issues including FX topics.
    • Ensure that international finance and accounting provides accurate and current information to management to assist with international decision making, resource deployment and establishment of business priorities.
    • Coordinate with Company’s external auditors overseeing the quarterly and annual independent international financial audits and annual Sarbanes Oxley control audits.
    • As needed, support financial due diligence for the company’s acquisitions; support integration activities regarding financial and reporting systems.
    • Provide oversight for the following additional functions:  EMEA cost accounting; international tax compliance, including assistance with tax provision and preparation of tax returns; coordinate international banking relationships; other financial analyses as assigned; lean processes focused on continuous improvement.





    • Degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 10-12 years relevant experience preferred
    • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting
    • Experience with internal control procedures in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
    • ERP experience preferred
    • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel
    • Strong leadership, supervisory, decision making and technical skills
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, team player, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
    • Ability to travel outside the US between 25% to 33%
